Welcome to Skogenheim
Langedrag Nature Park, 2025
Skogenheim = the forest-home
This symbolizes our journey toward a place of peace, nature and connection - a life in balance with the seasons and our dreams. Taking root in a place that truly feels like home.
Through this space, we want to take you along on our adventure of moving to Norway. Here, we (read: mostly Anna) will give you a glimpse into the emigration process, but above all we want to share what it’s like to live in Norway and experience all its wonders.
We are Igor (29), Anna (27) and Bjorn (almost 2), and at the end of October we will be emigrating to Eastern Norway. With the arrival of our little bear, we decided to turn our lives around. We wanted Bjorn to grow up in nature, in a society that isn’t switched on 24/7, and above all with his feet rooted in the earth. That’s when the process of making a plan began. The goal was to live in Norway before 13 February 2028, but as you can see, things sped up a bit. In mid-August this year, Igor received a job offer at an international school north of Oslo, and the choice was quickly made: we are going to emigrate.
An hour and a half from Oslo, we will begin a new chapter. A chapter in which we make plans for our own homestead, our own vegetable garden, a guest cabin named “Huldrehjem,” a piece of land of our own and, above all, nature around us and a slower pace of life.
This is Skogenheim - our new home in the making.
A place to build, to live and to breathe.
